Today was a spelling bee competition. I didn’t win anything. And it was too bad. Asiah was rooting for me. I didn’t get even the consolation prizes. I didn’t spell financier, some garbles third view verb, osteoporosis, and misdemeanour. There goes my five bucks (or is it Asiah’s?).
It wasn’t really good for my vanity. I am supposed to be good in English. But I can’t really tell. Do I in actuality suck? And is it going to become worse just because I didn’t take English for my degree. I’d LOVE to. Seriously. But I made myself convince myself to stay where I am. It’s what my parents approve of. So I’ll get through it. A hopeful but doubtful flying colour. (Contradictory, no?)
And for the winners I wonder if I’d ever speak to them again… There is surely substance behind all that spelling, am I not correct?
Note: It was nice to see Kim Lee again.
